Before you begin

This paper has two halves. The first measures reasoning: logic, numbers, sequences and reading data. The second measures programming: reading code, finding bugs, choosing data structures and judging design. Code is shown in C# and Python; you are not expected to be fluent in both, and no question turns on a language-specific library.

Each question is timed and you cannot go back, so answer from your own knowledge and move on. There is no penalty for a wrong answer, so never leave one blank. Rough paper and a pen are allowed; a calculator, an IDE, a search engine and an AI assistant are not.
